“Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland has been tapped to guest star in two episodes of “Shadowhunters” Season 2B.

According to TV Line, Hyland’s role is still being kept under wraps. This means the actress could give life to a vampire, a witch or even a demon. The freeform series also resumed its second season on Monday, June 5 on Freeform. The episode finally saw the arrival of Sebastian Verlac (Will Tudor), a mysterious British shadowhunter who cannot be trusted.

Prior to the return of “Shadowhunters” Season 2, cast member Isaiah Mustafa spoke with TV Line to confirm that Sebastian’s true intentions will be revealed in the upcoming episodes. But while he may not be able to say the same thing about Tudor’s character, Mustafa has nothing but praise for his co-star.

“He’s just so good, so inspiring to watch. He brings such a level of professionalism to the job. He takes it extremely seriously, but he’s still able to have fun while he does it. I’m constantly gaining insight into the craft just by watching what he does. We’re so blessed to have him,” he said.

Meanwhile, Monday night’s installment also focused on the big reveal that Jace (Dominic Sherwood) is not related to Clary (Katherine McNamara). Upon learning this, Clary told Jace that she needs some time to process the information, but she also reassured him that they will figure things out together. Mustafa, who is rooting for Clary and Jace to become a couple, confirmed that this shocking twist will be dragged on until the end of Season 2B.

Clary, who is also linked to Simon (Alberto Rosende), also faced some problems in the summer premiere episode. The latter was worried that he could just burst into flames at any given time, and Clary tried to stay positive for both of their sakes. Elsewhere, Simon had to deal with Raphael (David Castro) pestering him about his newfound abilities.

During the latter part of the episode, a new big bad named Azazel was introduced. The character is known for bringing trouble to mankind. According to Mustafa, Azazel will play a huge role in making 2B much darker than the first half of Season 2.

“Shadowhunters” Season 2 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on Freeform.
