Modern Family” Season 8, episode 19 saw the Dunphys and Pritchetts realizing how lucky they are to have each other.

In “Frank’s Wedding,” Phil (Ty Burrell) and his entire family attended his dad’s wedding to Lorraine (Faith Prince). When Frank (Fred Willard) told Phil that he has a plan to stage a short skit during the ceremony, Phil immediately talked him out of it. After all, Phil just realized that his wife and children no longer find his jokes funny.

But during Claire’s (Julie Bowen) conversation with Lorraine, the latter told the former how lucky she is to have Phil as her husband. After all, Phil is such a fun and loving guy. When Claire heard this, she decided to take over Frank’s skit with Lorraine’s help. Phil was surprised about how much fun his entire family had, and he also understood that they love him just the way he is.

Elsewhere, Jay (Ed O’Neill) has found enjoyment in saying no to his family’s requests. After all, he’s turning 70 and feels the need to be respected. But when his family started painting the walls in Joe’s (Jeremy Maguire) room without asking for his help, he realized that he’s become so left out from their activities. Jay urged everyone to include him, and they immediately said yes.

Meanwhile, Cam (Eric Stonestreet) finally gathered up the courage to stand up to his older sister. When he confronted her, Pam (Dana Powell), Cam was surprised to find out that not only was she pregnant, but she’s also ready to give birth. In the next scene, Cam decided to set their differences aside once again, so he could spend more time with his newborn nephew.
