“Modern Family” star Ariel Winter recently encouraged her millions of fans on social media to donate to the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

On her Instagram account, the actress, who plays the role of Alex Dunphy in the hit ABC series, posted details about how to donate to Save the Children Foundation. The organization aims to help the kids who were affected by the calamity. Winter also asked her followers to pray for the victims.

According to Variety, other celebrities who have also donated to the relief operations in the wake of the hurricane included Kevin Hart and Chris Young. Hart gave $25,000 to the organizers of the recovery efforts. On his Instagram account, Hart also posted a video asking his friends in the industry to shell out a generous amount to help the victims.

More specifically, Hart called out to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, JAY-Z, Chris Rock, Justin Timberlake and Dave Chappelle to help him “help Houston.”

Young, on the other hand, pledged to donate $100,000 and started a GoFundMe campaign. In his profile, Young said that he has friends and family in Texas who may have been affected by the hurricane. “I’m almost certain my house down there may have to be torn down as it was one of the areas that was hardest hit by winds and flooding. But that’s the least of my concerns. I’m worried about the people there – my friends, family and neighbors – and I want to help,” he wrote.

According to Variety, Houston Texans player J.J. Watt put up a fundraising account that has already garnered $522,000 in donations. Lin Manuel-Miranda, meanwhile, asked his supporters to donate directly to Baker-Ripley, a Texas charity that was built to rebuild neighborhoods across the United States.

Some celebrities who are from Texas include Demi Lovato, Drake and Miranda Lambert. All three have expressed their concerns over the recent calamity.

“The Ellen Show” host Ellen DeGeneres also provided other ways for people to donate. On her Twitter account, she said that donating $10 to Red Cross could change the lives of so many people.
