Capcom recently released a trailer that has the latest information about the “Monster Hunter World” expansion, Iceborne. Along with its Sept. 6 release, Capcom also confirmed a free trial for the game and the release of the Arch-Tempered Nergigante quest. Here’s what we know about this new update.

As seen on the Capcom Unity post, the “Monster Hunter World” Iceborne trailer also comes with the free trial that will be available for more than a week. Players who don’t own the game can download the game for free and enjoy its early gameplay and content.

Players of the free trial version can enjoy the game up to Hunter Rank 4. The journey to that Hunter Rank level composes mostly of basic quests which will help new players understand how the game works. Even though the content is limited, free trial players can still play in parties to get the game’s multiplayer feel and participate in the Spring Blossom Festival event.

Lastly, interested players who want to buy the game after trying it out can enjoy the discount that Capcom put on “Monster Hunter World” in online stores. The discount is available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game only. Similar to the discount, the new Iceborne expansion will be available to these consoles first in September, while its PC release is yet to be known.

As for the avid fans and players, the new Arch-Tempered Nergigante quest became available on May 11. Similar to previous Arch-Tempered releases, the Nergigante has more difficult patterns, hits harder and lives longer in this version. As a reward, players can craft a unique set of armor after defeating these stronger Nergigante.

As of now, players still have three more months before the release of “Monster Hunter World Iceborne.” Capcom may potentially have some new announcements about this expansion in upcoming events, like E3 2019, before its release.

For now, we’ll have to wait for more announcements to find out more about this new update.
