A viral video has captured a massive snake being removed from a house after it cracked the ceiling, where it was hiding.

A hair-raising video shared on YouTube by ViralHog shows the rescue operation of the massive reptile. The owners of a house found the enormous snake perched lazily inside the ceiling. It is believed that the reptile chose the spot looking for some warmth. The video posted by ViralHog on Aug. 6 went viral, with many users asking about the origin of the snake.

The location where the incident took place was not revealed.

The video shows a reptile catcher poking a hole in the roof of a home to extract the reptile. While the exact size of the snake was not known, it definitely is clear it was several feet long. The length of the snake is clearly seen as the reptile catcher pulls out the snake by its tail. Things get even scarier when the reptile turns around in a bid to attack the rescuer.

In the next few seconds of the video, the man is seen trying a variety of maneuvers to capture the snake. However, the reptile continues to make several attempts to bite the rescuer. The snake can then be seen slithering off a chest of drawers and moving on the ground. After many attempts, the rescuer manages to catch the snake by its neck and move it outside the room.

“This massive snake was discovered inside the ceiling. This man carefully extracts the snake and removes it from the home,” read the video description, crediting the footage to a user named Skon N.

Several users were terrified by the size of the reptile. Some tried to guess where this could have occurred.

User Maryam Meskienyar guessed the snake was either found in Malaysia or Indonesia. The user also said, “Imagine if it came down while the family was sleeping, it could have easily eaten a child.” Some also guessed Thailand, as the rescuer had something written on the back of his clothes in Thai.

A user named Orakzai Khan wrote: "Guys this is Thailand. Once a 12 foot long python showed up at my apartment building in downtown Bangkok (city centre), so you can well imagine what it's like in rural areas. There is no thai who hasn't seen a snake in the wild in their lifetime. During my school days in Bangkok we used to have multiple snake sightings in our school every year, which was again in the city centre."

Some users also pointed out the snake had a bulge, which could possibly mean that it had ingested something recently. One user, who goes by the name "MMA fight zone," said, “Well you can see he had eaten something by the girth of his stomach,” to which Alovellyone commented, “I noticed that as well. Hopefully, it was none of the owner's pets or anything taken as a quick lunch. That would be tragic.”

Several users praised the rescuer, who so bravely extracted the snake out of the ceiling.
