On last week’s episode of “My 600-LB Life” Season 6, viewers met Alicia Kirgan, a 622-pound woman who turned to food as a child and began to rely on it for emotional support. However, a new update reveals that Alicia is attempting to take her life back.

The 32-year-old first reached out to Dr. Nowzaradan after her boyfriend of six years, Tim Carter, managed to kick his addiction to drugs but she couldn’t stop her addiction to food.

Alicia blamed her addiction on her “chaotic childhood,” which consisted of her mother working to support their family and her father going out to drink at bars, which caused Alicia to resent him.

She later revealed that her parents would also fight and become violent, but her grandmother would try to distract her by giving her ice cream. By the age of 10, she was 200- pounds.

On her episode of “My 600-LB Life,” Alicia admitted that as an adult, going to the grocery store was the only thing that got her out of the house, but she disliked what she had to go through in order to support her addiction.

“I hate going to the grocery store, and I have anxiety about being in public because I have a fear of people judging me,” she said.

“I can feel people looking at me. I can feel their stares. I feel like an animal that people are looking at to see what I will put in my cart next,” she added.

Nowadays, Alicia may be a bit more confident about her outings considering she has managed to lose weight since her time on the TLC series. On Saturday, the star shared a video on Facebook of her workout routine.

“If you want results you have to put in the work. Getting ready to start round!!! Thanks for all the love and support,” she wrote.

Prior to that, Alicia shared three photos of her foot, revealing that she has shed several pounds since her episode.

“The difference in my feet and ankles has been incredible. I can not wait to watch how the rest of my body changes!!!” she wrote.

By the end of her episode, Alicia was down to 436-pounds, and from the looks of her Facebook page, it seems like she has managed to keep the weight off and has continued to make progress in her journey.
