“My Hero One’s Justice 2” is bringing in a popular character from the “My Hero” manga and TV series as its latest DLC fighter.

On Sunday, Bandai Namco announced on Twitter that it will be bringing in the Winged Hero, Hawks, to the game as part of its first downloadable content (DLC) this spring 2020. While the DLC is for those with a season pass, the character can be purchased individually.

In the announcement, Bandai also included a teaser for Hawks, which features the pro hero battling a Nomu. As can be observed, Hawks’ full range of abilities – from flying, using his wings as a weapon and his feathers as some sort of projectile – is in full display.

For the uninitiated, in the manga and TV series, Hawks is one of the top pro heroes. Known not only for his strength but also for his intelligence, he ascended as the No.2 hero after All Might officially retired and Flame hero Endeavor took the title of the No.1 hero.

“Pro Hero “Hawks” will join the My Hero One’s Justice 2 character roster this spring with his powerful wings, keen eyes, and resourceful intelligence,” Bandai Namco described the character in its news release.

“Hawks’ quirk—Fierce Wings—grants him a large pair of formidable feathery wings that allow him to fly. Hawks can telekinetically control each feather with ease to use them as projectiles and can sense people’s locations through vibrations in the air.”

Aside from the teaser, the Japanese video game developer and publisher also released screenshots of Hawks in the game. In the said images, Hawks’ use of his feathers was further emphasized.

“My Hero One’s Justice 2” is a 3D arena fighting game that has at least 40 playable characters composed of heroes and villains from the hit series. It also features stages and memorable scenes from its anime adaptation.

Aside from making the fan-favorites playable, another feature of the game is the ability to use Plus Ultra attacks – which makes for an interesting view given the different “quirks” of the characters.

“My Hero One’s Justice 2” is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
