NASA’s solar satellite has captured a strange object that seems to be falling or leaving the sun, prompting new discussions on whether or not there are alien species within our own solar system.

The wild claim was courtesy of Scott Waring, the infamous blogger and UFOlogist who has been making theories about extraterrestrial life for years now. In his latest post, Waring claimed that he has spotted what looks like a UFO the size of Earth’s moon seemingly leaving one region of the sun.

The UFO looked like it was being beamed down from somewhere beneath the southern region of the sun, leaving a trail of gas that’s very visible from the NASA photo. Waring also said that the UFO seems to be triangular in form, something which the alien theorist claims to be a regular shape of UFOs he has seen for years.

“A massive triangular UFO moved past our sun last week. The object was caught on serval SOHO helioviewer cameras and has a definite shape to it that appears to be intelligently designed. On the blue filter camera (AIA 225) it’s easy to see the outline of the craft. If we use the comparison chart of the earth, we see the size of this UFO is equal to our moon,” Waring said. He first saw the object in a video.

The alien theorist also claimed that the flying object is shooting out of the sun at such an odd angle that it can’t be mistaken as a solar flare. “If an object was spat out by the sun, it would usually shoot straight out due to the gravitational pull of the sun and its rotation. However, this UFO shoots out the outer edge of the sun and exits at an impossible angle. This is absolute proof that alien species are using our sun for their own purposes. That our sun...is not ours after all, but theirs.”

Waring also called out U.S. space agency NASA for keeping all this information from the public. “That this alien ship seems to have exited our sun and passed by our planet...all without NASA ever saying a single word to the public about it.”

Waring went on to claim another wild idea — that there’s a compact mini solar system within the sun itself. “This sighting strengthens my hollow sun theory. That the center of our sun holds a compact mini solar system within it...created and placed there by the alien species who currently live on those mini planets. This UFO...comes from one of those planets within our sun.”

Jack-o-lantern Sun
Active regions on the sun combined to look something like a jack-o-lantern’s face on Oct. 8, 2014. The image was captured by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory, or SDO, which watches the sun at all times from its orbit in space. NASA/SDO
