Aside from “Planetarium,” the “Thor” star had another film premiering at the Venice Film Festival this week. She also stars in the critically-acclaimed biopic “Jackie,” in which she plays legendary former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

Meanwhile, Portman previously opened up about how motherhood has changed her life in a piece she penned for The New York Times’ T Magazine in July. The Harvard graduate revealed that her life currently revolves around her work as an actress and her family, writing, “When I’m not working, I’m pretty much exclusively with my family, so my rituals have to do with school, meal preparation, playdates, bedtime.”

The “Black Swan” star added, “[Parenthood] made me much calmer under stress, because there’s that weird parent thing you develop, that when things get really bad, your voice gets calm and your blood pressure slows, and you can make everything okay again.”

Portman also talked about the lessons she’s learned since becoming a mother, pointing out that it’s definitely true that “time goes exponentially fast as a parent.” She wrote, “I hate saying it, cause ugh, we hated it so much when people said it to us. They always said it, and now we say it, and it’s awful, and we’re old. But it’s also true.”

Portman met her husband on the set of her 2009 award-winning film, “Black Swan.” They tied the knot three years later in 2012 in Big Sur, Calif.
