National Working Parents Day is marked annually on Sept. 16 to honor parents who struggle hard to provide for their families.

The origins of Working Parents Day are unknown, but it's necessary to appreciate the efforts of fathers and mothers who manage the home, as well as the outside the work.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, around 61% of families with children have both parents working outside the home, the National Day Calendar reported. They often end up sacrificing quality time with loved ones.

Here are some inspiring quotes, courtesy Community Today and With Love Becca, to share on this day:

1. "For me, being a mother made me a better professional, because coming home every night to my girls reminded me what I was working for. And being a professional made me a better mother, because by pursuing my dreams, I was modeling for my girls how to pursue their dreams." – Michelle Obama

2. "I think every working mom probably feels the same thing. You go through big chunks of time where you’re just thinking, ‘This is impossible—oh, this is impossible.’ And then you just keep going and keep going, and you sort of do the impossible." – Tina Fey

3. "Parents are the ultimate role models for children. Every word, movement and action has an effect. No other person or outside force has a greater influence on a child than the parent." – Bob Keeshan

4. "Our parents deserve our honor and respect for giving us life itself. Beyond this they almost always made countless sacrifices as they cared for and nurtured us through our infancy and childhood, provided us with the necessities of life, and nursed us through physical illnesses and the emotional stresses of growing up." – Ezra Taft Benson

5. "We should go after our dreams and not be apologetic about it, but it’s scary. Whether you want to work or not, you have to do what makes you a fuller person. You have to love yourself." – Catherine Reitman

6. "The worst thing that we can do as women is not stand up for each other, and this is something we can practice every day, no matter where we are and what we do — women sticking up for other women, choosing to protect and celebrate each other instead of competing or criticizing one another." – Amal Clooney

7. "We don't develop courage by being happy every day. We develop it by surviving difficult times and challenging adversity." – Barbara De Angelis

8. "This struggle is real. The juggle is real. That’s why everyone should hire working mothers. They are put in crazy situations all the time and are forced to problem-solve. They are some of my most resourceful employees." – Sara Blakely

9. "You cannot do everything at once, so find people you trust to help you. And don’t be afraid to say no." – Jane Seymour

10. "Get rid of the guilt. When you’re at one place, don’t feel bad that you’re not at work; when you're at work, don’t feel bad that you’re not at home." – Katie Couric
