  • Lebron James shared that he's still emotional after all the events that have transpired

The NBA paid tribute to the late great Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gigi, and the rest of the lives lost in the tragic helicopter crash. It was a “Celebration of Life” as players, legends and Vanessa Bryant led the memorial in honoring the Black Mamba.

Staples Center was where Kobe took the stage and immortalized himself as one of the greatest to ever play. It’s only appropriate that his life is celebrated in the famed Los Angeles arena.

His career accolades were shown and it was a rundown of all the great things he’s achieved as a basketball player. Whether it’s the historic 81-point performance or his five championships with the Lakers, Kobe’s run with the NBA was nothing short of mesmerizing.

Lebron James per ESPN shared that he still has not received closure from the loss of one of the most iconic athletes of all time. “Emotional wreck, like everyone else,” the four-time MVP said. The passing of a Laker legend and an inspiration of many have taken a toll on everyone. "I mean, we continue to live on his legacy and continue to have our hearts heavy with both sadness and with happiness for his family that are still here. So it's not a closure. But it was a celebration which was well received from not only the Laker faithful, not only the family here, but everybody around the world," James shared.

Vanessa Bryant honored her husband by putting into light what not many have gotten the chance to see. Vanessa bravely put into words in front of the whole world how Kobe was somehow even more phenomenal outside the basketball court. She showed the world that Kobe was a loving father.

"One thing I can come out of it saying is how strong and how bold and how powerful Vanessa is. To stand up there the way she did, to give that speech the way she gave that speech. I commend her,” James continued.

While Kobe is gone, his Mamba Mentality of getting better everyday prevails. The biggest tribute that the players have given Kobe is through their hard work on and off the basketball court.
