  • Video shows Rajon Rondo's partner got into a scuffle with Jorshari
  • Rondo never intentionally pushed Jorshari during the commotion
  • Footage shows Jorshari was verbally provoking Rondo and his girlfriend in the parking

Rajon Rondo of the Atlanta Hawks wants to focus on the task at hand and play NBA ball. But the reality is that his past cannot be overlooked, particularly the one about an alleged assault on a woman tied to a parking lot dispute in Los Angeles.

However, some basis for what had gone down back on July 28 may have shed more light on the matter. But there were some inconsistencies in the claim of the woman named Toktam Jorshari.

The video, though without audio, provides a better picture of what happened that day.

From the video, Rondo and his girlfriend could be seen standing near the car with Jorshari approaching them. It was clear that a dispute on the parking space was happening.

The NBA star and his partner appeared calm at first before the woman said something that irked Rondo.

Rather than engage, the couple tried to ignore the Jorshari and distance themselves. But the woman went on to utter some things and go nearer them, something that could be a form of provocation.

The woman was jawing with the basketball star’s girlfriend and Rondo tries to stand in between. In the process, the 34-year-old accidentally nudged the woman with her sandal flying off.

Based on the reaction of Rondo, it was an accident. He even tried to help by reaching out for the sandal.

Unfortunately, his girlfriend had enough of the trash talk and went on to hit Jorshari. Rondo appeared clueless on what to do at this point with his girl unloading.

As far as the allegation that the NBA star pushed her intentionally, the video alone proves that nothing like that purposely happened.

Also, it would be best to figure out what Jorshari said. At first, Rondo and his partner seemed civil. But things just turned ugly when the woman’s verbal tirades hurled their way.

Jorshari is determined to pursue the case and is not open to settling it any time soon. TMZ reached out to Rondo’s attorney, Mark D. Baute, for comment. Here is part of what he said.

"The plaintiff and Mr. Rondo’s girlfriend had an unpleasant encounter that lasted roughly 10 seconds, and Mr. Rondo tried to prevent them from any further interaction, which was awkward due to (a) his thumb being broken, and (b) the plaintiff not wearing a mask," Baute stated.
