Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has been the National Basketball Association's (NBA) highest-paid player for the past four seasons and remained the league's top earner for the 2021-22 season.

Curry earned $45.78 million in the 2021-22 season, according to ESPN.

In August 2021, Curry signed a $215.35 million extension with the Warriors, which will take him through season 2025-26. Under the contract, he will average $54 million per season, the highest in the NBA. In the final season, he will receive a whopping $59.61 million.

So who are the top earners behind Curry?

Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden is not far behind Curry at $44.31 million.

The Sixers acquired the ten-time All-Star player in a trade with Brooklyn Nets in February. Before joining the Nets in January 2021, Harden spent parts of nine seasons with the Rockets.

Trailing behind Harden is Brookly Nets forward Kevin Durant, who earned $42.02 million.

Durant had agreed to a four-year, $198 million contract extension that kicks in the 2022-23 NBA season. As per Spotrac, his salary earnings will reach almost half a billion dollars when the extension ends in 2026.

Behind Durant is Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, earning $39.34 million in the 2021-22 season.

Antetokounmpo, who signed a five-year $228 million extension with the Bucks on December 15, 2020, earned $27.53 million.

Like Antetokounmpo, LA Clippers' Kawhi Leonard and Paul George earned $39.34 million during the same season.

Behind them is Golden State Warriors’ Klay Thompson. According to reports, the basketball star earned $37.98 million.

He received higher pay than Miami Heat player Jimmy Butler, who made $36.02 million.

Following Butler are Philadelphia 76ers Tobias Harris, who earned about $36 million, and Milwaukee Bucks player Khris Middleton, who made $35.50 million.
