KEY POINTS

  • Dallas puts its three-game winning streak on the line against the LA Clippers
  • Odds reveal a toss up on Monday's clash
  • Kristaps Porzingis is expected to play

Kristaps Porzingis is reportedly making his return when the Dallas Mavericks host the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday inside the American Airlines Center.

The Mavs expect the 7'3 lengthy big man to be ready to play after missing the last 10 games dealing with a knee injury. He is said to have fully participated in practice Sunday as the team looks to keep its winning streak alive.

Mavs:

After Houston's loss to OKC on Sunday, the Mavericks stepped up and captured the fifth spot in the West ladder with 27 wins against 16 losses. But while they are more destructive on the road (14-5) than at home (13-10), the Mavs could still rely on its momentous four-game winning surge to repulse Kawhi Leonard and the rest of the Clips who are just above them by two and a half games.

Clippers:

The Clippers are on a roll, too. The LA-based squad is putting their own three-game winning streak on the line when they visit Texas to take on the Luka Doncic-led Mavs.

The team is presently in a logjam with Utah and Denver for the No. 2 spot in the Western Conference with each having 30 wins and 13 losses.

The Clips seek to perform better than their Saturday's showing in New Orleans where they barely escaped with a 133-130 win against the gritty Pelicans.

Odds and Trends:

The money line market is pretty much a toss-up between the two as the Mavs hold a hairline edge in spread with just a 1-point handicap. The total line market offers O/U 228.5.

The Mavericks are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall and in their last 4 games as a favorite.

The Clippers are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 Tuesday games and 7-2 in their last 9 games playing on 2 days rest.

Over is 11-4 in Mavericks' last 15 games as a home favorite and 7-1 in Clippers' last 8 vs. a team with a winning straight up record.

Under is 4-0 in Mavericks' last 4 Tuesday games and 6-1 in Clippers' last 7 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.

Prediction:

Straight-up: Mavs

ATS: Mavs

Total: Over
