LeBron James’ son Bronny has one thing that could be his edge in the NBA, according to a recruiting expert.

Bronny James is looking to follow the footsteps of his legendary father. The Sierra Canyon High School star is one of the most notable NBA prospects for 2023, but as early as now, the younger James has already got recruiting experts buzzing about his game.

Breaking down Bronny’s overall attributes, recruiting analyst Travis Branham of 247 Sports pointed out that the 16-year-old has learned to utilize his “physical” strength, a category in which his father is also known for.

“Given the fact that Sierra Canyon barely played this year, this is a hard question to answer,” Branham wrote. “[But] the one area that has been a noticeable area of development for Bronny has certainly been his physical attributes.”

“He has grown, his body is maturing and his athleticism has rapidly improved,” he continued. “Otherwise, given the lack of viewings, it’s difficult to gauge how much he has developed his skillset.”

Apart from the physical attributes, Branham also predicts Bronny will further improve his already remarkable shooting and playmaking skills as he grows.

“Based on past viewings as a freshman, down the road Bronny is capable of being a talented playmaker given his passing ability, vision and unselfish approach, especially as he continues to grow, get stronger and more athletic,” the analyst added. “He also is a capable shooter so functioning both as an on-ball facilitator and playmaker and an off-ball scorer at the high major level are capabilities for James.”

Bronny is expected to come to the NBA after two years. It can be recalled that LeBron signed a two-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers in the offseason, opening up the possibility of the father and son playing together in the league in 2023, a first in the history of the NBA.

Apparently, “King James” isn’t only optimistic about playing in the same league as Bronny, but he is also hoping to play alongside his son in the same team before he calls it a career.

“That’s definitely one of my goals, but that’s a long-term goal,” James told reporters Sunday following the 2021 NBA All-Star Game when asked about the idea of playing with Bronny in the NBA.

“My son right now is in high school and enjoying what being a teenager is all about,” he added. “But that would be pretty cool to go on my resume."
