The Los Angeles Lakers’ hopes of making it to the NBA playoffs is slowly slipping away and clearly shows that there is something wrong from within and some players know it. They have suffered losses to the Milwaukee Bucks and then the lowly Phoenix Suns, back-to-back losses that have put a serious dent on their postseason aspirations.

As of this writing, the Lakers are 4.5 games out of the playoffs. They are scheduled to face the Los Angeles Clippers next but a more pressing issue is that there seems to be trust issues hounding the franchise. Much of this surfaced after the team lost to the Suns, a team that has already been eliminated and sitting at the bottom of the standings, the Silver Screen and Roll reported.

With about 19 games to go, the Lakers have placed themselves in an even bigger hole. Also, Vegas sees LeBron James and the Lakers missing the playoffs. And part of the big tumble was that unusual loss they suffered at the hands of Phoenix. According to NBC Los Angeles, the Lakers odds to make the postseason are +600 (according to Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook). This means that a $100 bet will return $600 if the purple and gold somehow manage to pull off a miracle to make the next round.

Some diehard Lakers fans are likely to pray for the best although there are some who have already waived the white flag. This includes Snoop Dogg who aired his frustrations on the campaign of the many time NBA champion squad. He witnessed that loss to the Suns and the aftermath was a bunch of sweet nothings.

That included him calling out several players, getting a new head coach and getting James more help. As for this season, Snoop Dogg says he is selling hi Staples Center booth for a measly five dollars, NBC Sports reported.

Looking ahead, it is not looking good for the Lakers. Their options are diminishing by the day and their fate may have already been decided. There is still time although the outcome does not hold promise for the purple and gold.

Fixing whatever trust issues and needs the Lakers at this point may prove to be futile. Walton finds himself in the middle of the mess, meaning his future will likely be on the radar of most after the Lakers wrap up their campaign.
