Pascal Siakam would be filling in a significant role after Kawhi Leonard's departure to the Clippers this summer. The Raptors ultimately won their first championship with the help of the "Klaw," but it will be an entirely a different team when the new NBA season begins on October 4.

With Kawhi gone, Toronto's first scoring option would likely fall in the hands of Kyle Lowry, but guys like Siakam could potentially step up. But what happens if Pascal fails to fill the considerable void left by Leonard this offseason?

According to SBNation's Michael Pina, the Raptors could explore trading Siakam to other NBA teams in exchange for better pieces and future draft considerations.

Pina suggested that the Raptors could explore trade packages between the New Orleans Pelicans, the OKC Thunder and the Atlanta Hawks. He said that "Siakam makes sense everywhere," adding that "he's young enough" to develop into a certified All-Star player.

Pascal Siakam is a low-risk, high reward investment, with limitless potential and freakish athleticism. Last year he averaged 16.9 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists while shooting at 54.9 field goal percentage. He is also a threat from the outside, averaging 36.9 percent behind the arc.

He was an instrumental piece of the Raptor's championship run, in the 2018-2019 NBA playoffs, he put up 19 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and a steal per game.

He's also one of the most underpaid athletes in the NBA with his production. Most likely the Raptors would be willing to invest a substantial amount for the Cameroonian forward, but he might also be attractive trade bait to potential suitors.

If he gets traded to the Pelicans, there are plenty of pieces that OKC could unload to land Siakam. A Zion and Pascal one-two-punch sound scary on paper.

In OKC, he could be a vital building block that could reverse the Thunder's current situation. He could also flourish in Atlanta behind up and coming star Trae Young. Siakam has shown that he's a competent scorer with Kyle Lowry in Toronto.

The scenario seems far fetched this early in the 2019-2020 season, but we've seen crazy trades in the past few years. Undoubtedly, it all depends on how Siakam performs this season.
