Philadelphia 76ers combo guard Markelle Fultz remains inactive with a shoulder injury amid growing talk about his overall health.

According to ESPN's NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski's sources, "Fultz's teammates are increasingly concerned about his overall well-being beyond his struggles on the court."

The news comes after the Athletic reported on Nov. 23 that Fultz had been battling a right wrist injury as well as right shoulder problems, and with sources claiming Fultz "prefers a fresh start with another NBA team." Fultz's agent Raymond Brothers quickly dismissed reports that Fultz wanted to be traded.

The 20-year-old is expected to visit more medical specialists, according to Wojnarowski.

There has been ample talk about Fultz's mechanical issues with deep jump shots and whether his struggles are due more to mental than physical issues.

Should the Sixers and Fultz part ways, it would be interesting to learn what Philadelphia would get in return. Scouts were impressed with Fultz in his one season with the Washington Huskies. In 25 games, he averaged 23.2 points per game on 47.6 shooting. His career professional scoring average is 7.7 points on 41.4 percent shooting.

Mike Pompey of Philly.com wrote that there is a trade market for Fultz, should he and his representatives provide an honest assessment of his health. The Phoenix Suns have reportedly shown interest in Fultz.

Fultz has not played since Nov. 19. Last season, the former No. 1 overall pick played in just 14 games.
