The Golden State Warriors continue to revamp and one of the new faces Dubs' fans will see is Glenn Robinson III. The son of former top pick Glenn Robinson, he ended up with the Dubs when Draymond Green invited him. It appears he is on the right team and looms as a key addition for the coming NBA season.

Robinson was the starting small forward for the Dubs in their second preseason outing against Minnesota. The 25-year-old swingman did not disappoint. He finished with 13 points, five rebounds and two assists in 20 minutes of action. He went 6-of-11 from the field and was 1-of-3 from the three-point region. It appears he is a good fit and head coach Steve Kerr is liking what he sees.

"I like that he recognized, on back-to-back plays, as he caught the ball in transition, to run a dribble handoff with Steph (Curry). That's always a good option," said Kerr in a report from the San Francisco Chronicle.

From the way he played, Robinson gained kudos for his ability to blend in well, particularly with Curry. The 31-year-old lit it up against the Timberwolves, dropping 40 markers in 25 minutes. That connection caught the eye of Kerr.

"That recognition is really important on our team. Some guys, it takes longer to figure out. But when you come to our team and you realize the weaponry, the arsenal that Steph has, and the ability to shot make, you need to recognize the situations where he's a threat," the Warriors coach said.

Now, it seems Robinson may have done more than fulfill his dream of joining the Warriors. Better yet, he finds himself in a good position for the starting small forward spot. With the Dubs opting to pick internally, the 6-foot-6 swingman is now in the lead to get it. And the son of the "Big Dog" seems to be loving it.

"I've said it in the past, but I looked at the Warriors a couple of years back. Draymond gave me a call. I knew this was always a great fit for me. I'm just excited to be here and just having an opportunity to play and compete for that starting spot," said Robinson to NBC Sports.

The Warriors return to NBA preseason action on Monday against the Los Angeles Lakers. Tip-off will be a 7:30 p.m. EDT which will be aired on NBATV.
