"NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 12 is returning from a hiatus this week, airing two back-to-back episodes. Episodes 4 and 5 will see special agents Callen and Sam's squad solving a pair of cases.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 12 Episode 4 is titled "Cash Flow." In the episode, Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and Sam (LL Cool J) will team with a group of robbers to solve the murder mystery of a Navy reservist. The burglars approach the LAPD when they discover the body of the Navy personnel.

A rather-fun promo shows the entire team having a virtual work session as Sam, Callen, Rountree and Fatima get together on a video call. The scene is a subtle reference to the pandemic situation whereby social distancing has become the norm.

In addition, the episode spoilers tease a personal storyline featuring Kensi and Deeks. The pair will be dealing with another issue in their family expansion plan. They contemplate their decision to buy a house.

"The body of a murdered Navy reservist is found by thieves in the midst of a robbery and NCIS must work with the burglars to find the killer. Also, Kensi and Deeks struggle to decide if they are ready to make the leap and buy a house," teases the official synopsis.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 12 Episode 5, titled "Raise the Dead," sees the team tackle an issue of national security. Kensi takes the center stage as some key information on matters of national security lies with the sociopath whom she put behind bars years ago. This happens to be the same person who was obsessed with her. For her duty, she must confront the prisoner and find answers. Meanwhile, Eric finds himself in a tough spot that forces him to exit NCIS.

"Kensi must come face-to-face with a sociopath who has been obsessed with her since she put him in jail years ago. Also, though Eric is desperate to keep Kensi safe, he is forced to leave NCIS," reads the synopsis.

The promo for the forthcoming episodes reveals the history of the prisoner with Kensi. The dangerous man used to send creepy messages to Kensi on every Valentine's Day. He demands to speak only with Kensi but Deeks is not comfortable with this arrangement.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 12 Episode 4 and 5 will air on CBS from 9.30 p.m. ET on Sunday. Fans can watch the live stream on CBS All Access after its two-hour television broadcast.
