Netflix users have been eagerly anticipating returns of some of their favorite series, as well as the addition of newer movies and television shows. And gladly, amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the streaming service definitely does not fail to provide its users with the entertainment it needs.

And now as June has officially set foot, Netflix is finally ushering in its extensive lineup of updated and familiar favorites. For instance, the fifth season of “Queer Eye” is officially hitting the streaming platform on June 5, Time reported. The show’s next season installment teases how the Fab Five head to Philadelphia to help 10 people looking to transform their lives for the better.

Fan favorites such as “Dating Around,” “The Politician,” “13 Reasons Why” and “Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj” are among the slew of television shows slated to drop on Netflix this month. The streaming platform is also reliving the past thrills of “Scripps National Spelling Bee,” in t light of the cancellation of the show’s 2020 nationals due to the pandemic. Instead of the much-touted spelling bee show, a new original documentary called “Spelling the Dream” will debut on the 3rd of June.

Per Time, Netflix will also be bringing in new original documentaries to its entertainment platform. Among the new Netflix originals is “Athlete A,” a crime documentary that tackles the case of a sexual abuse scandal surrounding USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar. Meanwhile, a sports documentary called “Home Game,” will feature a series of unusual and thrilling sports traditions such as voodoo wrestling in the Congo to roller derby in Texas.

On top of new TV series and season installments, an abundance of films and other library titles will also be welcomed into the platform. Spike Lee’s “Da 5 Bloods” follows four black vets returning to Vietnam to confront the ugly truth about the war they fought. Foregoing movies such as “Lady Bird,” “Frost/Nixon” and Ang Lee’s “Lust, Caution” will eventually be parading into the entertainment service.
