“Super Smash Bros. 3DS” will launch in Japan this Saturday, but a small group of Japanese players are already streaming gameplay on gaming platform Twitch, revealing a number of unannounced playable characters.

Wario, Dr. Mario, the dog and duck from Nintendo’s “Duck Hunt,” Ganondorf, Dark Pit, Falco, Ness and Mr. Game and Watch are confirmed playable characters, adding to the already available repertoire of in-game characters like Kirby, Mario, Samus, Link, Toon Link, the Villager, Pikachu, Pac-man, Sonic, Mega Man and Princess Peach.

As of the end of August, Nintendo (NASDAQ:NTDOY) had confirmed 28 playable characters from a variety of its own franchises and third-party companies.

“Super Smash Bros.” will launch sometime during the fourth quarter for the Wii U and on Oct. 3 for the 3DS in North America and Europe. “Super Smash Bros.” was announced for the two platforms during the Electronic Entertainment Expo in 2011 and began development in March 2012. The game was officially revealed during E3 in 2013 during Nintendo’s presentation.

Both versions of the latest “Super Smash Bros.” are developed by Bandai Namco Games and published by Nintendo. The 3DS and Wii U versions are the fourth and fifth installments of the popular series.
