With the Oscars nearly upon us, stylists should look no further than Monique Lhuillier, who debuted her Fall 2013 collection at New York Fashion Week Saturday, with gowns in opulent colors and Art Deco touches.

"Well you know, every time I start a collection I always say, 'What haven't I don't before, what's exciting, what's new, what do I want to accomplish this season?'" Lhuillier told The Associated Press. "So I wanted this girl to be super sexy. It's dramatic, mixed in with a little Art Deco, and just really intense colour and intense structure."

There was no shortage of glamour in the show, with gowns in beads, lace, digital prints and gorgeous brocades, sure to be picked up by an Oscar nominee, which the designer was naturally tight-lipped about.

"You'll have to wait and see but, um, anything is possible," Lhuillier told The AP with a smile.

Lhuillier also sent down cocktail dresses of all hemlines as well as comfy knits for fall in addition to her show-stopping gowns.
