The 2020 NFL offseason has featured plenty of player movement. The greatest quarterback of all time, a couple of elite cornerbacks and some of the league’s most underrated players are headed elsewhere with lucrative contracts.

Here are the five best players that have changed teams in NFL free agency.

Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The quarterback left the New England Patriots after 20 years, signing a two-year contract that will pay him at least $50 million. Brady’s 4,057 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, eight interceptions and 88.0 passer rating in 2019 were his worst numbers in six years. Those stats could improve significantly with a much better group of playmakers in Tampa Bay. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin combined for 153 catches, 2,490 yards and 17 touchdowns last season.

Byron Jones, Miami Dolphins

The Dallas Cowboys kept Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper, but they weren’t able to hold onto their best defensive free agent. Jones signed a five-year, $82.5 million contract with Miami, setting a new record for cornerbacks. The 27-year-old hasn’t created many turnovers, but he’s considered to be one of the best defensive backs in the NFL. With Xavien Howard also on the roster, the Dolphins have two of the NFL’s highest-paid cornerbacks in their secondary.

Chris Harris, Los Angeles Chargers

Harris was a staple of one of the NFL’s best defenses last decade. The cornerback made four Pro Bowl appearances with the Denver Broncos from 2014-2018. He left Denver for its division rival, signing a two-year, $20.25 million contract with Los Angeles. Harris started all 16 games in 2019, recording 56 tackles, one interception and six passes defensed. The veteran allowed 47 receptions on 68 targets, per Pro Football Focus.

Cory Littleton, Las Vegas Raiders

Littleton was arguably one of the NFL’s most underrated players with the Los Angeles Rams, overshadowed by the likes of Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey and a high-powered offense. The linebacker was a 2018 Pro Bowl selection before recording a career-high 134 tackles in 2018. Littleton left L.A. for Las Vegas to sign a three-year, $35.25 million contract.

Jack Conklin, Cleveland Browns

Conklin was part of an elite offensive line in 2019 that allowed Derrick Henry to lead the NFL in rushing. He left the Tennessee Titans for Cleveland, signing a three-year, $42 million contract. Lane Johnson and Trent Brown are the only right tackles with a higher average yearly salary than Conklin. He’s made 16 starts in three of his four NFL seasons. Conklin allowed four sacks last season, per PFF.
