KEY POINTS

  • Allen Robinson is not worried about his NFL future
  • Robinson will go where good money is offered
  • Return to the Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars is among Robinson's options

Allen Robinson is set to become an NFL free agent, and the 27-year-old is leaving all options open.

An easy way to resolve it was to return to the Chicago Bears, but it appears both sides are nowhere near close to a potential deal.

Hence, all the Pro Bowler can do right now is wait and see. But at the end of the day, Robinson will pick the NFL team that offers him the best compensation package, something that any other player would do.

Aside from the Bears, another team that he wide receiver is open to considering is a return to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The native of Michigan started his career off with the Jaguars, playing there from 2014 to 2017. He weighed in on his chances and what could be ahead on SiriusXM NFL Radio Thursday.

“At this point, I’d pretty much be open to everything on the table,” Robinson said. “I’m not 100 percent sure what will happen in the next coming weeks as far as being a free agent and things like that, but as everything stands today, I definitely will open to everything on the table.”

To his credit, Robinson had 102 catches for 1,250 yards and six touchdowns this NFL season. Over the three seasons, he has had 255 catches for 3,151 yards and 17 touchdowns with the Bears.

Despite that effort, it appears Chicago has moved on from Robinson as both sides have not yet held any discussion. Regardless, the second-rounder of the 2014 NFL Draft is not closing the door.

“We haven’t spoken to them for some time now, but there’s definitely an open line of communication. I’ve always said that I’ll be here if they’ll have me. That’s the main thing," Robinson explained. "I think things get twisted with players when they start talking about frustration and things like that, rather than a player just trying to figure out what’s best for themselves and for their career at that specific time. It’s never been too much frustration. It’s a business.”

Aside from Robinson, other notable NFL free agents to monitor include Khalil Mack and David Montgomery.

But of those names, Robinson is the one who has had a superb season, including back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.
