Platonic relationships exist among dating couples -- singer Ciara and NFL quarterback Russell Wilson reportedly are proof. The Seattle Seahawks player reportedly told San Diego pastor Miles McPherson that he and his girlfriend are practicing abstinence because God asked him to do so.

Ciara and Wilson started dating in April. "She was on tour, and I was looking at her in the mirror, and God spoke to me," Wilson told the pastor, according to Billboard. "He said, 'I need you to lead her.'”

So how did he convey God's message to Ciara? "I told her, 'What would you do if we took all that "extra stuff" off the table, and just did it Jesus' way?'" Wilson continued. He clarified that he was indeed "talking about sex."

Wilson added that his girlfriend cooperated willingly and “completely agreed" with his request. Wilson also admitted that refraining from sex is not an easy task. He told the pastor to “pray” for them as they undertake the tough task.

Wilson further praised his girlfriend's beauty. "I know y'all have seen her on the screen. If there's a 10, she's a 15." Wilson was previously married to his high-school sweetheart, Ashton Meem, but the two got divorced in April 2014. He started dating the “Love Sex Magic” singer one year later.

Wilson also praised the 29-year-old singer and said she is "everything you could ever want” in a girlfriend. He knew he would end up with Ciara even before he started dating her, Wilson said in the interview. He called Ciara "the most beautiful woman in the world, the most kind person, the most engaging person."
