Nicki Minaj just revealed how long it took for her to write her rap verse for her latest collaboration with David Guetta. The “Anaconda” hitmaker also divulged that Lil Wayne wasn’t originally involved in “Light My Body Up.”

On Friday, Minaj took some time to answer fan questions on Twitter, and she had a blast responding to even the craziest tweets. However, it’s her revelations about her new song “Light My Body Up” that caught the attention of her fandom, Barbz and Ken Barbz.

When Meek Mill’s ex was asked about how long it took for her to write her verse for the new single, she responded right away that she did it in just 15 minutes, and that already includes her playing around with lyrics. “It’s a freestyle mostly being funny playing around,” she stated. Her fans then agreed that she did the amazing feat because she’s a “lyrical legend.”

Another interesting bit Minaj revealed to her fans was the fact that the song wasn’t supposed to include rap. According to her, Guetta originally composed the song without rap verses, but the French DJ-producer’s daughter was bothered by the absence of Minaj’s bars in the song. This then led Guetta to ask the Young Money artist to write a rap verse for the new song.

Minaj also went on to reveal that Wayne was not part of the original plan for the collaboration. The Trinidadian-born rapper even admitted that Guetta had no idea about Wayne’s participation until she surprised him. “I was on it then decided to ask Wayne. He said yes, did it right away. Then I sent it to David as a surprise,” she wrote.

Minaj just got back to the U.S. to film the music video for “Light My Body Up.” She dropped a teaser from the set of the MV on Instagram. In the photo, Minaj and Guetta can be seen standing next to each other, with Queen Barbz rocking a unique face accessory and a sexy two-piece ensemble. Minaj revealed in the caption that the snap was taken while she and Guetta were waiting for Wayne to arrive for the shoot.

Meanwhile, Minaj’s return to America comes hours after Mariah Carey released her collaboration with Remy Ma. The team up between Carey and Papoose’s wife comes in the wake of Remy Ma’s ongoing feud with Minaj.
