  • Nicola Peltz rocked a Valentino hot pink floor-length gown with a low-cut Bardot neckline at Met Gala 2022
  • Brooklyn Beckham opted for a bright white suit and comfortable pair of white trainers
  • Peltz also wore a custom Valentino haute couture gown to marry Beckham last month

Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham made their first red carpet appearance as a married couple at the 2022 Met Gala.

The newlyweds turned heads when they arrived at the annual fundraising gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City Monday, nearly a month after tying the knot in a lavish ceremony held at the Peltz family's Palm Beach, Florida, estate, People reported.

Peltz, 27, looked stunning in her Valentino hot pink floor-length gown with a low-cut Bardot neckline and cut-out detail to the front. It featured loose pleats and a long train that swept across the floor. She completed the look with a Valentino handbag and a pair of platform heels of the same shade.

Peltz's head-turning outfit was among Valentino's collection for Autumn/Winter 2022. It is easily recognizable due to its signature hot pink color, plunging neckline, draping chiffon silhouette and cold shoulder finish design.

Her 23-year-old husband opted for a bright white suit that he wore open to give a glimpse of his chest. He accessorized with multiple gold necklaces and completed his get-up with a pair of white trainers.

"Usually I go with a plain black suit. But this time, I went [with] a sheer shirt and cream suit. Pierpaolo [Piccioli] always kills it," Beckham told Vogue of his look designed by Valentino's creative director.

Peltz added: "I'm so honored. Every time I get to wear one of his dresses, I'm so excited. You feel like a princess in them."

Peltz also wore a custom Valentino haute couture gown to marry Beckham last month. Her wedding dress featured a show-stopping train and incorporated some personal details.

The bride's mom, model Claudia Heffner, added an evil eye as a talisman for her daughter, along with a message that the Valentino team stitched into the wedding gown using blue thread, according to Vogue.

The Met Gala is traditionally held every first Monday in May to raise money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. Last year, the event was moved to September due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year's dress code is gilded glamour and white tie to match the theme "In America: An Anthology of Fashion," a continuation of last year's "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion."

Channeling the time period between 1870 to 1890, the event asks its attendees to "embody the grandeur — and perhaps the dichotomy — of Gilded Age New York," according to Vogue.

Olivia Rodrigo walked the Met Gala red carpet in a sparkling lavender Versace gown, while Sydney Sweeney was gorgeous in her white Tory Burch dress. Miranda Kerr turned heads in her white Oscar de la Renta gown with her husband Evan Spiegel.

Cara Delevingne, Kiki Layne, Julianne Moore, Jessie Buckley, Rosalia and Gigi Hadid, among many other stars, also attended this year's event, Page Six reported.

But one attendee, fashionista Fredrik Robertsson, left some fans and social media users confused when people initially mistook him for Jared Leto at the 2022 Met Gala.

Robertsson rocked a silver Iris Van Herpen jumpsuit with silver structured wings, while Leto later arrived with Gucci designer Alessandro Michele, twinning in matching gold suits with red bowties.
