Nina Dobrev Posts Sweet Instagram Message About Last Day On ‘xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage’ Set

Actress Nina Dobrev revealed on Instagram over the weekend that filming for her upcoming movie, “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage,” is officially over. But Dobrev isn’t necessarily happy about that. The 27-year-old starlet took to social media to share a photo with co-star Deepika Padukone along with a sweet message about the cast and crew.

“Last day,” Dobrev captioned the image. “So sad that this amazing adventure is over. So sad to be leaving my new XXX familia.”

The actress, who is best known for her role as Elena Gilbert on “The Vampire Diaries,” continued by saying she’s going to miss the “incredibly hard working group of people.” She also added that she’s keeping her fingers crossed for a sequel!

“xXx: The Return of Xander Cage” is the follow up to the 2002 action flick “xXx” and the 2005 sequel “xXx: State of the Union.” The new movie follows Xander Cage, played by Vin Diesel, as he returns to the franchise after being presumed dead. This time he’s got a new mission to stop a “deadly alpha warrior” named Xiang (Donnie Yen) as he attempts to unleash a weapon called the Pandora’s Box.

Dobrev is new to the series and plays a character named Becky, a “witty and sarcastic techie.” Indian actress Padukone and Ruby Rose of “Orange is the New Black” also star.
