  • Nintendo is rumored to release an upgraded version of the Switch
  • The company has not yet confirmed that a new Switch version is coming
  • Due to a new rumor, some fans believe that it would be revealed on June 3 or 4

Nintendo has not yet confirmed that Switch Pro is in the works. Despite this, rumors about the upgraded model of the hybrid console launching this year have been rife online. According to the latest rumors, Nintendo Switch Pro would be unveiled this week and its pre-order would go live the day after its announcement.

For months, Switch fans have been waiting for the official announcement of Switch Pro. It seems that the waiting game is finally coming to an end if the latest leaked information from industry insider CentroLeaks is anything to go by.

In a tweet, the insider claimed that they had received a screenshot from a major retailer's internal system. The screenshot reportedly showed a Switch hardware-related listing that would go live at midnight on June 4. If this is accurate, it means that the official reveal of the Nintendo Switch Pro would take place on June 3.

Unfortunately, the insider did not specify the time zone in which the rumored launch would occur.

In a follow-up tweet, the insider talked about another Switch hardware-related listing with a June 30 release date. The insider thought it was most likely a placeholder.

Many fans believe that the June 4 date came from a U.S. retailer but has been listed for another region that is outside the country. Others claim the insider was most likely referencing the Amazon Mexico leak that surfaced last week.

On the other hand, several others think that the supposed Nintendo Switch Pro listing may have come from Walmart Canada. The retailer has been known to leak video game details in the past like the E3 2018 lineup of Bethesda.

The Nintendo Switch has been a huge success for the Japanese gaming giant. With the launch of Sony's PS5 and Microsoft's Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, an upgraded version of the hybrid console would give the company an edge in the gaming system market.

Aside from the increased number of games that could run on the Switch Pro, the improved system of the rumored hardware, like its 4K OLED display, could offer players a better gaming experience.
