Walmart (WMT) is continuing its online push as it looks to reportedly recruit another 500 drivers for its private fleet of trucks. The retail giant posted an e-commerce sales growth of 37% for fiscal 2020 and expects its online sales to grow another 30% by 2021.

The demand for truck drivers at Walmart is growing, especially for the company in Washington, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Nevada, and New York, Yahoo Finance reported.

Drivers can expect to be paid an average salary of $87,500 per year, with five days on the road and two days at home. Drivers will also reportedly earn up to 21 days of paid time off but need to have at least 30 months of driving experience as well as meet the other requirements the retailer has put in place.

The news that Walmart is looking to hire truck drivers comes at a pivotal time for the industry, as many trucking companies have laid off workers, filed for bankruptcy, or closed their doors altogether.

In addition, Walmart is looking to outpace its rival, Amazon, on the e-commerce side as it makes a push for online sales. Walmart has said that it expects its e-commerce sales to represent more than half of its total global sales growth.

Walmart currently has a team of 9,000 truck drivers that service 4,700 stores, moving products from vendors and distribution centers across the states.

Shares of Walmart stock were down 0.06% as of 2:44 p.m. EDT on Monday.
