Everyone appreciates healthcare workers more than ever right now, so it’s safe to say that Nurses Week 2020 will be a bigger celebration than usual this year. Many companies want to show their appreciation for healthcare heroes with freebies and discounts.

Though Nurses Week starts on Wednesday, May 6 and ends Tuesday, May 12, some of these deals extend well beyond the designated nurse appreciation week and beyond the nurses station too. Check out all the deals below to find out who is giving healthcare workers some much-needed goodies with both free and discounted items like coffee, gas, food, shoes and more.

Amoco & BP: The gas stations are offering 50 cents off per gallon of gas purchased by healthcare professionals. Validate your ID on their website.

Checkers & Rally’s: Just wear your scrubs to get a free combo. According to a press release, “Uniformed medical workers and first responders will receive a free small combo, which includes the choice of a Big Buford, Baconzilla!, Cheese Champ, 5pc Classic Wings Combo, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Deep Sea Double, Half-Pound Chicken Bites, Chili Dog or BBQ Bacon Roadhouse with small Famous Seasoned Fries and a small drink.”

Chipotle: Healthcare workers will want to visit Chipotle’s website for a chance to request free burritos for their medical facility starting on Nurses Day, May 6 at 12 p.m. EDT.

Corner Bakery: Get a free coffee with a healthcare employee ID from May 4-8.

Crocs: Nurses (and other healthcare workers) get a chance at a free pair of shoes by getting in line on their website at 12 p.m. EDT every day.

Dunkin’: On May 6, the donut and coffee shop is offering a free medium hot or iced coffee and a free donut – no purchase necessary – to all healthcare workers. Be sure to go in person as the freebie isn’t available on the app. The offer excludes cold brew and nitro cold brew drinks.

Hooters: The restaurant is offering local healthcare workers (as well as first responders and military personnel) 20% off all food takeout orders every day until further notice.

Krispy Kreme: Every Monday through National Nurses Week, Krispy Kreme has been offering boxes of a dozen free doughnuts to medical professionals. All they have to do is show their employer badge at the drive thru.

Mrs. Fields: Nurses can get 25% off the Heroes Collection cookie tins on the website with the code THANKS.

Skechers: The shoe brand is giving nurses free shipping and returns for the month in addition to 30% off their purchase.

Sheetz: The convenience chain is offering hospital workers, police officers, firefighters and paramedics free coffee through June 1.

Snickers: Friends and families of nurses can send them digital gift cards for a free Snickers, redeemable at Walmart. Fill out the request on the Snickers website.

Starbucks: The coffee chain has been giving out free small coffees to healthcare workers and will continue to do so through May.

Talkspace: Healthcare workers can receive free therapy.

Verb: The energy bars are being donated to healthcare workers across the country as part of the company's #VerbLove campaign. Text 415-915-8372 and they will send free Verb Bars.

&pizza: Hospital workers can receive a free pizza with a valid work ID.
