OnePlus, the Chinese smartphone maker that is gearing up to release its second handset in a virtual reality launch later this month, has said its Google Cardboard headsets are now available for Indian fans.

OnePlus had recently announced a contest that will hand out 1,000 of its virtual reality 3D headsets made of cardboard. For all others, the headsets will cost 99 rupees ($1.5) plus shipping charges as applicable via Amazon.com Inc.’s Indian site.

The headsets will be available from July 17 on Amazon, OnePlus tweeted Wednesday. Costs will be based on Amazon’s shipping terms, OnePlus said on its blog.

The headsets are designed to fit the company’s current smartphone, the OnePlus One, but can accommodate other phones of up to 6 inches. The launch of the new phone, simply called OnePlus 2, is set for July 27.
