Rumors about the "Overwatch 2" beta test happening this month has plagued the internet, but a new piece of information about the highly anticipated game sequel reveals some exciting details that will definitely hype the fans.

Activision Blizzard announced "Overwatch 2" at the BlizCon in November 2019 and allowed attendees to experience the game's new map and co-op mission. So far, very little is known about the upcoming sequel aside from rumors that it could have a beta test in February.

Interestingly, Twitter user Kephrii, who is a professional gamer and streamer, has claimed to have knowledge of the highly anticipated sequel. He shared on the social microblogging site that there may be a potential water aspect in "Overwatch 2."

The streamer also suggested in his tweet that the game may feature a hero with abilities based on water. He also implied the combat system as "fluid."

"Since it got made public/leaked already; yeah Overwatch 2 is going to introduce water into the terrain & there will be a hero that can swim n s--t. It feels pretty fluid (no pun intended) and is kinda dope tbh," the gamer tweeted.

Water-based maps have been previously hinted at. The game developer even released a concept art called Galapagos, which is founded on a 2 Capture Point format.

A hero, Wrecking Ball, was also shown in a water setting, giving more credence to rumors that a water-based or underwater theme could be featured in "Overwatch 2." Unfortunately, Activision Blizzard has not yet said anything related to the new set of details.

As for the game's beta, nothing is official at the time of this writing.

However, following the discovery of "Overwatch" Demo 2 on the game's build and several discoveries on the Battlenet, fans are confident the game developer might make an announcement related to the beta very soon.

Overwatch League caster and senior manager of product and content Matt "Mr X" Morello tweeted a GIF showing former U.S. President Barack Obama saying, "I've got one word for you…TOMoRROW."

Whatever that tweet means is anybody's guess. Activision Blizzard will surely announce the "Overwatch 2" beta schedule whenever it is ready.
