Paul Rudd's "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" co-star Bill Murray was not impressed with his Sexiest Man Alive title.

The 52-year-old actor shared Murray's epic reaction to him being named People's Sexiest Man Alive this year while speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" premiere Monday.

"He just laughed at how many times I'm going to have to answer a question about it, and he wished he could watch every single answer," Rudd said of his 71-year-old co-star. "It's happening right now. Right before our very eyes."

Rudd also admitted that his wife, Julie Yaeger, was as shocked as he was and "laughed" after learning about his newest distinction.

In his interview with People, Rudd shared more details about his wife's reaction, which to him was very sweet.

"She was stupefied," the "Clueless" star said. "But you know she was very sweet about it. After some giggling and shock, she said, 'Oh, they got it right.' And that was very sweet. She was probably not telling the truth, but what's she going to say?"

Several celebrities congratulated Rudd on being named Sexiest Man Alive, including former co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Alicia Silverstone. Rudd and Aniston worked together in "Friends" as well as two movies, the 1998 romantic comedy "The Object of My Affection" and the 2012 comedy "Wanderlust."

"This makes me so happy. We’ve ALWAYS known this, but Paul Rudd is officially @people’s Sexiest Man Live!" Aniston shared on her Instagram Story before posting a clip from Rudd's photoshoot, according to ET.

"They're just good friends. They're being very sweet," Rudd said of the compliments he received.

Rudd went on to joke that Murray should have received the title because he was "incredible" to work with. He also expressed his joy in being part of the sequel to the original "Ghostbusters" classic.

"The entire thing is just so incredible to be a part of it. I, like everybody, grew up watching this movie, and it's impossible not to when you're there in the flesh, and seeing all this stuff around you, with the props and the guys, and not just look back and go, 'Oh my gosh, how did I land here?' and appreciate it," Rudd said of filming "Ghostbusters." "It becomes a part of my life in such a magical, cool way. I still can't believe it's kind of real."

"Ghostbusters: Afterlife" will hit theaters Friday.
