A lot of negative buzz surrounded the release of one of Peloton's holiday commercials, yet Monica Ruiz may be reaping the benefits of the publicity after all. Ruiz, who played the woman dubbed "Peloton girl" in the now infamous commercial for the exercise bike, has just made the leap from commercials into the world of daytime TV.

TMZ reports that Ruiz has been offered a very minor role on the long-running soap opera “The Bold and The Beautiful.” Nothing is known about the role yet, other than it is a guest spot and will premiere in late January.

When offered the job, Ruiz apparently accepted it immediately. The job will reportedly only take her one day to shoot and rehearse and Ruiz is being paid $2,000 for the day’s work.

Similarly, Ryan Reynolds also recently gave the exercise bike commercial actress a redemption gig in an ad for his Aviation Gin brand. In the ad, Ruiz plays what appears to be an overwhelmed or distraught character who stares blankly into the camera. She is hanging out with friends who hesitantly ask her if she’s okay before Ruiz’s character gulps down an entire glass of gin. Her friend then slides Ruiz her own drink, recognizing that she needs it.

This could all be a comical reference to the backlash the Peloton commercial faced and the toll it took on its leading lady. The Peloton ad in question received critcism for showing a male gifting his wife the exercise bike for the holidays.

Ruiz took the backlash with a stride when she jokingly told host Hoda Kotb during an appearance on "Today" last week that she blames her eyebrows for the controversy. “Honestly, I think it was just my face. It was my fault,” the actress told Kotb. “My eyebrows look, like, worried.”

As for her guest appearance on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” sources say that if things go well for her and audiences respond well to her character, there could be more jobs for Ruiz in the future on the show.
