Subscribers to Sony's PlayStation Plus premium service have a variety of new games to look forward to for March.

According to Sony's PlayStation Blog, March's lineup for PlayStation 4 users is led by two unique action and adventure-based titles. Disc Jam is a competitive game that operates like a cross between Pong and tennis. In the game, players have to throw a disc into the opponent's endzone to earn points while avoiding having points scored on them by opponents. Up to four total players can play at a time.

Tearaway Unfolded is a 2015 release that remakes the 2013 Vita title Tearaway. In the platformer, you take on the role of a messenger in a whimsical world built entirely from paper. As the PlayStation Blog notes, the title also won a BAFTA for developers Tarsier Studios and Media Molecule. Check out a 2014 trailer for the game here:

According to Sony, other titles in this month's free PlayStation Plus releases include:

  • Under Night: In-Birth, PS3
  • Earth Defense Force 2025, PS3
  • Lumo, PS Vita (crossbuy on PS4)
  • Severed, PS Vita

By comparison, Xbox Live Gold subscribers will see a similar mix of free titles though the Games With Gold program in March. The free lineup for Gold subscribers is anchored around the first-person shooter Evolve and complemented with the horror title Layers of Fear. Xbox 360 users will receive both Borderlands 2 and the arcade title Heavy Weapon.
