May 21 Doomsday: 'It is absolutely going to happen'

If Harold Camping is right, Judgment Day is near. Near as in four days away. Yes, you've heard correctly. The Oakland-based Family Radio Worldwide, of which Camping is the president, said they have crunched the numbers, have done the math properly, and the numbers prove that the beginning of the end of the world as we know it is May 21. MTA Subway Disruptions Continue Due to Derailment

There was a work-train derailment north of the Dekalb Avenue station in Brooklyn. According to officials with the Metropolitan Transit Authority, as a four-car train was coming off the Manhattan Bridge, one of the cars went off the tracks. The train carried MTA employees, but there were no injuries.

A Day Out at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (PHOTOS)

NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, hosted more than 15,000 visitors under gray but rain-free skies on May 14 for a day of fun-filled activities, hands-on demonstrations, entertainment, and food. The Explore@NASA Goddard event was the center’s first open house since 2008.
