An adult film actress working for Pornhub claimed that a potential love interest she met through the dating app Tinder tried to rape her.

The news was reported by sources from the New York Police Department to the New York Post on Tuesday. The 21-year-old woman, whose name was withheld due to privacy reasons, met her Tinder date in the lobby of her hotel, located near East 45th Street and Vanderbilt Avenue, around 8 p.m. EST, Sunday. When both of them headed toward the hotel room, the woman claimed the man pulled out a knife and threatened to rape her.

“Immediately it turned violent…,” she told the Post, about the horrifying incident. “He pulled a knife out on me and said he was going to rape me. I tried to grab the knife and he cut me in the hand with it. I was definitely scared for my life. I’ve never been assaulted violently before. Honestly, I’m scared of men now.”

In order to escape her attacker, the woman rushed to a bathroom that was on the way toward the room. The assailant fled from the scene and was at large. The woman suffered minor injuries.

She added that she stayed in New York for two days following the alleged attack to share all the details with the police, who are currently searching for the suspect. Originally born in Pittsburgh, the woman is currently living in California. She started working in the porn industry about eight months ago.

A video of the alleged attacker was released by NYPD detectives. The suspect, believed to be 18 to 25 years of age, was seen in the hallway of the hotel where the alleged attack took place. He was five feet eight inches tall and weighed 160 pounds. He was a medium-built man with black hair, facial hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a green jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and gray shoes.
