The companies whose shares are moving in pre-market trade on Thursday are: Polypore International, Whole Foods Market, Macy's, Aeropostale, Windstream, Bristol Myers Squibb, Ion Geophysical, Marathon Oil, ConocoPhillips, Gap and Allergan.

Polypore International Inc. (NYSE:PPO) shares climbed 15.59 percent to $64.00 in pre-market trading session. Its first quarter net profit surged to $25.8 million or $0.55 per share from $14.1 million or $0.31 per share in the same quarter last year. Net sales rose to $185.7 million, while analysts’’ expected net income of $0.40 per share on revenue of $164.38 million.

Whole Foods Market Inc. (NASDAQ:WFMI) shares gained 4.79 percent to $62.60 in pre-market trading session. Its second quarter net income rose to $89.9 million or $0.51 per share compared to $67.5 million or $0.39 per share in the same quarter last year. Whole Foods expects its fiscal 2011 earnings to be in the range of $1.87 to $1.90 per share compared to its previous estimation of $1.76 to $1.80 per share.

Macy's, Inc. (NYSE:M) shares advanced 1.38 percent to $25.75 in pre-market trading session after the company said its same-store sales in April rose 10.8 percent from a year ago.

Aeropostale, Inc. (NYSE:ARO) shares plunged 8.24 percent to $23.39 in pre-market trading session as the company lowered its first quarter earnings outlook. Aeropostale expects first quarter earnings to be approximately $0.20 per diluted share compared to its previously issued guidance in the range of $0.35 - $0.38 per share.

Windstream Corp. (NASDAQ:WIN) shares declined 4.61 percent to $12.61 in pre-market trading session. The company reported first quarter net income of $23.5 million or $0.05 per share compared to $74.1 million or $0.17 per share in the same quarter last year.

Bristol Myers Squibb Co. (NYSE:BMY) shares plunged 4.14 percent to $27.52 in pre-market trading session. The stock has a 52 week low of $22.24 and 52 week high of $28.95 and has $48.94 billion market capitalization.

Ion Geophysical Corp. (NYSE:IO) shares declined 3.98 percent to $10.37 in pre-market trading session as its first quarter earnings fell short of analysts’ expectations. The company reported first quarter net income of $0.03 per share against estimation of $0.07 per share. Revenue rose 2 percent to $90.55 million from $88.72 million last year.

Marathon Oil Corp. (NYSE:MRO) shares declined 2.04 percent to $50.50 in pre-market trading session.

ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) shares declined 1.56 percent to $72.50 in pre-market trading session. ConocoPhillips will webcast its 2011 Annual Meeting of Stockholders on Wednesday, May 11, at 10 a.m. EDT.

Gap Inc. (NYSE:GPS) shares declined 1.38 percent to $22.81 in pre-market trading session after the company said its same-store sales in April rose 10 percent to $1.15 billion.

Allergan Inc. (NYSE:AGN) shares declined 1.34 percent to $80.77 in pre-market trading session.
