Kim Kardashian and Kanye West might do plenty of things that some people would consider strange, like always stepping out in matching monochromatic clothing, so Kimye fans are at the edge of their proverbial seats waiting to find out what the superstar celebrity couple is going to name their child.

Most are expecting for the child’s name to start with a K, a family tradition for the Kardashians, but according to a source their baby girl’s name is going to be North.

That’s right, the little Kardashian-West baby is going to be named after a direction, at least according to a source that spoke to the British tabloid The Sun.

The 35-year-old rapper reportedly thinks it will go well with his surname.

West apparently came up with the moniker in February when he was working in Paris for fashion week, the insider explained to The Sun.

The baby is due in July, so it seems Kardashian will have a few months to talk him out of the name. She will undoubtedly want to stick with her family tradition and give her daughter a name that beings with K—Kimye perhaps?

No matter what they choose, the 32-year-old star of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” doesn’t want to reveal the name of her child until she is born in July.

She said to E! News in January: "I have to discuss that with my boyfriend to see where we are. But we'll keep the name private, I think, whenever we decide."

But naming the baby North could just be a joke West is trying to play on fans. He’s also reportedly planning on naming his new album “I Am God,” something else Kardashian might have a problem with. As of now he’s just toying with the idea, the source said to The Sun.

“Kanye’s ego is something else, so he’s quite serious about the title,” the insider revealed.

“He also has a sense of humor, though, and knows how his self-indulgence is seen by the general public. It’s half tongue-in-cheek, half what Kanye probably feels is true.”
