Meghan Markle is in the third trimester of her pregnancy so it is no surprise that she is opting for more comfortable looks. The pregnant Duchess of Sussex was recently spotted rocking workout gear after her lavish baby shower in New York City.

Earlier this week, Markle jetted off to the Big Apple for two days of pre-baby celebrations with her closest pals, including Amal Clooney and Serena Williams, according to Harper's Bazaar. After the baby shower, which reportedly cost up to $300,000, Markle was photographed leaving her hotel dressed in comfortable wear and heading to the airport to fly home to London.

For her trip home, Markle rocked a black zip-up athletic shirt, leggings, sneakers and a camel coat. She accessorized with a black baseball cap and leather tote bag.

This seemed to be the complete opposite of Markle's chic ensemble the day before. The duchess had worn a William Vintage Courrèges couture trapeze coat, Hatch maternity jeans, a CH Carolina Herrera nude tote bag, nude pumps and Le Specs oversized sunglasses.

Meanwhile, details from Markle's extravagant baby shower have been kept under wraps, but sources told royal correspondents Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand that the celebration held at The Mark Hotel in the Upper East Side included food from Jean-Georges and flower arrangement-making.

Aside from Clooney and Williams, Markle's former "Suits" co-star Abigail Spencer, designer Misha Nonoo, Jessica Mulroney and Gayle King were also in attendance. Some of the pregnant duchess' pals from her alma mater Northwestern University reportedly also came to celebrate with her as well.

Markle's lavish baby shower has received criticism online after reports of how much money was spent on it surfaced. The negative criticism didn't stop even after it was revealed that George Clooney's wife and Williams footed the bill for the celebration.

Markle arrived back in the United Kingdom on Thursday after a round trip to the U.S. that reportedly cost $250,000 (£200,000), according to Daily Mail. After her private jet landed at Farnborough Airport in Hampshire, Prince Harry's wife headed back home in two Land Rover Discovery vehicles containing her security team, luggage and baby shower gifts.
