  • Ceballos is currently a Real Madrid loanee and is set to return at the end of the season

It is imperative that professional football clubs build their roster with players that will help them in the long run. For Mikel Arteta’s case, it seems that he has found the same potential in Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos who is currently on loan for the club.

Per Goal.com, Arteta has been impressed by the way Ceballos has played for his team in the past few games. Ever since the games resumed, Ceballos has been one of the more reliable players on the team. With the way the midfielder moves around the pitch, Arteta has maximized the 23-year-old’s time on the team by fielding him considerable minutes.

The trust Arteta has for Ceballos is evident given how the Spaniard has started in seven of the last eight games of Arsenal. Per Goal.com, the chemistry Ceballos has formed with Granit Xhaka has been extraordinary and beneficial for the club.

“Obviously we don’t own the player, he’s not in our hands, so the clubs will need to have a communication and see what we can do,” Arteta said.

But while not everything is certain yet, there’s no question that Ceballos has already made a strong impact on the team.

“I’m really happy with him,” Arteta shared.

“The way he’s evolving and I love how much he likes to play football – the passion he puts into every training session, and in every game, you just have to see his celebrations,” Arteta added.

The composure and the energy Ceballos brings have been tremendous for Arteta’s squad. The positive attitude has been an important piece for Arsenal as it has helped them develop as a team.

“Whether he’s on the pitch or on the bench, the way he celebrates [shows] how much he puts into it. Again, I’m really happy with him, I think he’s evolving in the right way and he’s becoming a really important player for us,” Arteta added.

It will be interesting to see how Arsenal moves forward with their roster given and if they’re able to keep Ceballos. There are multiple opportunities in the transfer market and it will be pivotal for the club to make major decisions for the club's future.
