  • Solskjaer says Pogba is Manchester United property and not Raiola's
  • Manchester United still hoping to see Pogba back in action
  • Solskjaer reaction raises questions on coming of Jack Grealish

Paul Pogba has hardly made his mark for Manchester United this season and the rumor mill has been filled with potential transfer rumors. The noise surrounding the future of the 26-year-old midfielder got even stronger with agent Mino Raiola suggesting Pogba would not mind moving to other teams this summer. That has reached Red Devils coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and he is pretty upset.

Solskjaer lashed out at Raiola, telling him that Pogba belongs to the club and not to him. He added that the 2018 World Cup winner is focused on returning, hoping to quash transfer rumors, Goal.com reported.

"I've not spoken to Mino that is for sure. And, no, I haven't sat down and told Paul to tell Mino what he should say. Paul is our player and not Mino's," Solskjaer said.

The Manchester United head coach added that coming back from injury is not that easy. Solskjaer believes it would be the last thing any player would want. And while he did not mention it, transfer rumors backed by Raiola are not helping Pogba or the team moving forward.

"He’s started running on the treadmill so he’s getting closer – it’s been a long haul so hopefully we can see him back soon," Solksjaer added.

In a previous post, it was discussed how Raiola felt that Pogba's future options are not limited to Juventus. He believes that the French football player remains valuable with teams like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain possibly interested in his services. Pogba owns a $116 million contract but has been out of action due to an ankle injury he suffered back in December.

With him out of action, rumors have swirled that Manchester United is targeting Jack Grealish of Aston Villa. But to get the 24-year-old to the United fold, the money needed to acquire him would depend on the proceeds of a potential Pogba trade. Grealish has allegedly already seen the outline of the new contract which will pay him more than his £100,000 per week deal.

With Solskjaer reacting to Raiola's rant, it could mean one of two things. One is that the Red Devils are still hoping to see him play. The other is that it will be Manchester United calling the shots in the event that a transfer to another team is really in the cards.
