  • Manchester United not a cinch to land Grealish
  • Grealish could consider other teams
  • Grealish pay depends on funds from anticipated Pogba deal

For Jack Grealish, the only thing certain is that he will be moving out. He has the benefit of choosing his next team with most believing it will be at Old Trafford. However, at least one person feels that this is not 100-percent a done deal. Former teammate Alan Hutton believes the 24-year-old midfielder has options and there is a possibility it may not be at Manchester United.

Hutton's comments were made with the belief that Grealish could be of good use to other teams. One such team is Chelsea where the midfielder could be the spark that Frank Lampard is looking for, Goal.com reported. Though it is looking more like a monkey wrench being thrown into the equation, a move could happen. Grealish could be the right guy to fill up the void left by Eden Hazard who departed for Stamford Bridge.

“For Jack to kick on again and really hit the heights that everybody knows he can get to, he is going to have to leave Villa,” Hutton said in a report from Football Insider.

Hutton points out how Grealish should have no trouble fitting into any team. He points out how the 24-year-old is technically gifted, one of the reasons why multiple teams would love to get him on their side. So far with Aston Villa, Grealish has had seven goals and five assists contributed across 23 appearances.

Regardless if it would Manchester United, Chelsea or somewhere else, the only thing certain is Grealish is due for a hefty payday. He is forecasted to get a long-term contract, pretty much bigger than what he is currently getting from Aston Villa.

In a previous post, it was reported how Grealish was already shown an outline of the package he will be getting from the Red Devils. He would be getting more than the £100,000 per week deal he currently earns at Villa Park, the numbers of which have been kept under wraps for now.

A reason for the undisclosed numbers is perhaps United is also factoring in the potential proceeds stemming from a Paul Pogba deal. The Frenchman is seen by critics as likely departing before the next transfer window. He continues to recover from surgery but could see action at Euro 2020.
