Prince Andrew was known as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s prankster child. Before Prince Harry inherited the title of the royal family’s prankster, Prince Andrew was first known as such.

Decades ago, he managed to pull off an incognito trip to Disneyland. He even went as far as fooling some of the guests with his incredible disguise.

In the book “Andrew: The Playboy Prince,” royal author Andrew Morton said that the dad of two was serving aboard HMS Hermes when he decided to travel to Florida for his three-week vacation. While there, it became evident that Sarah Ferguson’s ex-husband wanted to enjoy his overseas trip.

“One day he slipped away for a visit to the fantasy paradise of Disneyland with the British consul in Atlanta, Mark Goodfellow, as host. It was meant to be a private visit and the prince even donned one of the staff blue coats to try and hide amongst the crowds… The disguise fooled some visitors – the prince actually guided one innocent soul to an exit,” Morton said.

Prince Andrew also had the opportunity to shake hands with Mickey Mouse, and he described his trip as “magical” after it wrapped up. But if Prince Andrew was able to disguise his identity during his vacation in Florida that time, he failed in keeping himself under wraps while he was on the Naval base.

According to Morton, after the women found out that Prince Andrew was aboard, the phones never stopped ringing. The women asked to speak to the Duke of York, who was known as “English Prince Andy” back in the day.

Meanwhile, journalist Sue Arnold wrote in an article for Vanity Fair, how Prince Philip and the Queen finally read the riot act to their son after a series of pranks. During one occasion, the dad of two spray-painted a row of photographers while he was visiting California. Prince Andrew thought that was he did was funny, but his parents were far from being amused.
