Prince Charles once asked someone to help tutor his two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry during the summer of 1993.

At that time, the future king and Princess Diana just announced their separation to the world. After meeting with Rory Stewart, Prince Charles approached the PM hopeful for the gig.

“In 1992, not long after Stewart had started reading history at Balliol College, Oxford, he was approached by Prince Charles. The two had met when the prince visited Eton a year or two earlier... The Prince was looking for a summer tutor for his sons, William and Harry, then 10 and eight,” according to the New Yorker.

Stewart accepted the gig, and he tutored the royal siblings for two weeks in the summer of 1993 in Scotland. While speaking to the publication, Stewart also shared details about his gig with the Royals.

“An hour a day, teaching English to both and math to Harry. I spent a lot of time with the Prince of Wales… That’s really where my friendship with him began,” he said.

After graduating from Oxford in 2006, Prince Charles and Stewart once again teamed up to set up a charity in Afghanistan to help local craftsmen make a living.

In related news, Prince William and Prince Harry also made headlines this week after it was revealed that they stopped talking to each other during their huge royal row.

While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, royal commentator Katie Nicholl confirmed that Prince William and Prince Harry really had a falling out before the latter wed Meghan Markle.

“It’s absolutely the case that the brothers did fall out. I was told by a very senior royal source that actually they weren’t talking to each other at one point… I certainly think that now Archie is here that it has probably really helped improve the relationship… William is over the mood that his brother is a dad,” she said.
