Prince Charles was reportedly intimidated by his younger sister, Princess Anne, due to a shocking reason.

In the Channel 5 documentary “Paxman on the Queen’s Children,” Jeremy Paxman discussed Prince Charles’ difficult relationship with Princess Anne. Vickie Arbiter, a royal expert, said in the special documentary that Princess Anne takes after the Duke of Edinburgh, and Prince Charles is not close to Prince Philip.

“Anne gets on with it, she’s a no-nonsense lady. But like her dad, chip off the block,” Arbiter said.

Paxman added that Princess Anne is grand, but she’s managed to give the impression that she wants to do things on her own terms. Unlike her siblings, Princess Anne was the only one who declined royal titles for her husbands and her two children. She was also recently named as the hardest working royal for 2018.

And in 2017, she took on 455 royal engagements in the United Kingdom and 85 overseas. These figures are much more than the engagements that Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry attended combined, according to Paxman.

In related news, Princess Anne also made headlines recently after it was revealed that she didn’t have time for Princess Diana, whom she saw as a self-promoter.

According to Paxman, Princess Diana and Ferguson were much better at appearing human. The dedicated and hardworking Princess Anne, on the other hand, was most rapidly eclipsed. Princess Diana also made Princess Anne look out of touch.

“Princess Anne, she had no time for Diana. She didn’t like the way she went about her duty and the way she used the cameras and the media to promote herself, in her eyes,” Richard Kay, a royal editor for Daily Mail, said.

Kay added that Princess Anne had a more traditional approach to the monarchy and royal duty, which was very different from Princess Diana’s approach, as well as that of the other members of the royal family.
