Prince Charles and Princess Diana were caught on camera arguing during an interview.

The Prince and Princess of Wales had an unhappy marriage and they couldn’t hide it. In fact, their row was caught on camera as they disagreed mid-interview, Express reported.

During an interview with Alastair Burnet, Prince Charles and Princess Diana talked about their life at home. It was an opportunity for the couple to put on a united front since at the time, rumors sparked that they did not see things eye to eye.

“I suspect most husbands and wives find they often have arguments,” Prince Charles confessed.

However, Princess Diana interrupted saying, “But we don’t!” The heir apparent was taken aback but responded, “No, no, no! But occasionally we do…” Prince William and Prince Harry’s mom answered again and insisted that they do not argue saying, “No we don’t!”

The way the couple argue was seen as a sign of their troubled marriage. Royal biographer Robert Lacey said in his 2008 book “Monarch: The Life and Reign of Elizabeth II” that Princess Diana “lied spectacularly.”

“Diana’s insistence on an image of impossible perfection could, with hindsight, be seen as a telling clue to some of the problems in the marriage,” Lacey wrote.

Princess Diana got the sympathy of the public following her split from Prince Charles. In her infamous Panorama interview, she hinted at Prince Charles' infidelity when she said, “there was three of us in this marriage.” Many were convinced that she was referring to the future king’s affair with Camilla Parker Bowles. However, according to royal experts, Princess Diana knew how to use the media against her ex-husband.

“Diana would definitely play games with the media,” Piers Morgan said in the documentary titled “Royalty Close Up: The Photography of Kent Gavin.”

“I remember a classic case of her when Prince Charles had a coming out party for his relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles, and Diana was in St Tropez with Mohamed al-Fayed and others. And we got a message – ‘Will you be there tomorrow at 9am by this beach?’ Yes, why?’ ‘Wait and see!’”

It has been over two decades since Princess Diana passed away and the public has already warmed up to Prince Charles and Camilla. Earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall shared their highlight in the past decade and one described the royal couple as the “dream team.”
