Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are criticized for failing to update the media about their upcoming baby.

In a commentary for New.com.au, Daniela Elser said it has been 48 days since the Duchess of Sussex was last spotted. However, the “total paucity of information” about baby Sussex has started to rankle.

According to her, there’s a very fine line between Prince Harry and Markle maximizing their privacy at such a special time and fulfilling their royal responsibility.

“Right now, it is starting to seem like Harry is botching this,” she wrote.

Prince Harry is known for his dislike of the media even before he married Markle. Arthur Edwards feels that Prince Harry wants to ignore the media.

Another British journalist said that what the couple did is “shattering of a tradition that goes back for decades” and it has a price — mockery.

Elser noted that Prince Harry couldn’t escape the uncomfortable contract the royal family has with the British public. If the Duke and Duchess of Sussex felt that the cost of being a royal is too high, then they should leave.

She advised Prince Harry and Markle to ditch the HRH title, return the diamonds and decamp. They could go to Malibu and spend their days Instagramming with vengeance and giving TED talks.

She concluded her piece by encouraging the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to stop playing victims and acknowledging the reality of their lives, including the occasional awkward photo shoot.

A few weeks ago, Prince Harry and Markle announced that they will keep their birthing plans a secret. Some of their followers understood the couple.

However, others were furious because they felt that they were entitled to be updated about baby Sussex. According to some netizens, they paid for Prince Harry and Markle’s privileged lifestyle, so they should know.

In related news, some fans were convinced that Markle already gave birth. Among the major clues that the netizens considered was Queen Elizabeth II’s visit to Frogmore Cottage. In addition, Prince Harry is set to make a royal engagement abroad, and he is unlikely to do this if baby Sussex has not arrived yet. However, Buckingham Palace denied the rumors that Markle has already given birth.
